Meditation Teacher Training Course
50 hrs / 8 days, in Rishikesh

This programme is for those who want to deepen their practice and wish to explore different techniques, and need a suitable guided environment. The course offers you a good foundation and ample experiential insights – and also the training if you feel called to be a meditation instructor.

Meditation (dhyana) is one of the keys of yoga practice (sadhana) which aims at transforming the human to its pure, potent, conscious and mature form. There is a widespread belief that meditation is for spiritual purposes only and just for people who have higher spiritual goals, such as enlightenment. While this is true, it is also true that meditation has beneficial effects in a more physical and worldly sense. We have conducted lunchtime meditation classes for companies such as design agencies and in corporate environments, to give you just one example.

Benefits of regular meditation are manifold, covering all levels of our human existence: physical, mental, emotional, energetic as well as the plane of beingness – your soul, spirit and supreme consciousness.

Meditation is universal. It is not about myths. Not about faiths or religions. Not about new age woo woo. It is an ancient, pragmatic way towards personal and spiritual growth.

Meditation practice contributes to finetuning our perception antennae. We increasingly anchor ourselves in the present moment and become more aware of ourselves, our feelings and thoughts. We learn to witness what is happening within and around us, without reacting. By shifting to higher consciousness we perceive who we really are from an absolute point of view, therewith drop our limiting identifications and go beyond our conditioned smaller selves. Impulsive, compulsive behaviour patterns, monkey mind chatter, emotional charge and also physical blocks melt gradually and automatically. Making room for thoughtlessness, self-realisation and liberation from all illusions.

In lectures and workshops we give you not only theoretical know how and guidance so you gain a better understanding of meditation and the various types, but also plenty of opportunities to practice and to get anchored in your own experience of it.

kṣīṇa-vr̥tter-abhijātasy-eva maṇer-grahītr̥-grahaṇa-grāhyeṣu tatstha-tadañjanatā samāpattiḥ ॥41॥:
Once the misconceptions (vritti) have been minimized, everything that is mutable in human beings (chitta) becomes as clear as a diamond, and perceptions, the perceived and perceiver are melded with each other. One builds on and colors the other. This is enlightenment (samapatti).
– Patanjali, extracts from The Yoga Sutras, chapter I, samâdhi-pâda
